Tokaj is a UNESCO World Heritage site and an historic wine region in north-eastern Hungary, where wines have been produced for centuries. It's best known for aszu, a sweet white wine from grapes afflicted by noble rot, or botrytis. It's a beautiful area, with lots of vineyards, terraces, underground storage chambers, and of course lots of places to try some wine!

I was surprised to find the wine making industry so extensive when I visited Hungary. We don't see a lot of Hungarian wine in Australia, no doubt because we make so much ourselves

The World Heritage list has quite a few wine-growing regions across the world - what's your favourite wine-growing region?

The subtitle is a bit funny: of course the most famous wine is not 'a zoo', but ASZÚ. :)
