Edit: This only works with Peter and you must have the suit tech Amazing launch for this to work.

For anyone having trouble trying to get stuck, do this. First make sure that you already have swing tricks set to maintain. Next get to the very top of the crane. Jump off the top and press square so that you start doing tricks and then point launch on the hook. From there press X so that you get shot upwards and then you've done it. Something about doing tricks won't shoot you forward when point launching but rather upwards.

Instructions: 1 switch to peter THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH MILES
2 set tricks to maintain
3 get infront of the crane
4 zip to the hook thingie
5 point launch and pull back on left stick
6 repeat if failed

Honestly cannot thank you enough for this. It still works as of 13th May. I genuinely got so annoyed thinking that I was gonna have to spend about 2/3 years doing crimes over and over to build XP up!

Work with Peter not Miles. I got it my second try with Peter. Stand in front of crane. And face it, L2 +R2 to crane and hold down on thumb stick and x to launch from crane.

If its not working for you make sure you have toggled it on by pressing square

This 100% still works, I’m doing it now. It’s easier to write a small script to automate the X pressing for you, then you just activate it and leave it to run on its own. Saves you pressing X every 4s for 99min lol.

As of June 6th it still works.
I couldn’t get it to work the 1st couple tries until I did the top comment way, so if it’s not working for you I recommend switching to jumping off the crane from the top, do some tricks, use focus and then point launch off

I can confirm that as of today it is still working, took a bit of time to get stuck (it's very finicky) but once you are there it's smooth sails, got to max in about an hour or so!

After trying for 30 minutes I got it on my first try with a different tactic lol
Instead of point launching, just hop up the cane and do a charge jump worked right away.

Found a new glitch with the same crane, if you get stuck between the cable and the part you jump on you can just hold down square and let go when you need to, I recommend only doing front flips
