New Zealand has announced it will immediately pause the trans-Tasman travel bubble with all Australian states and territories.

The suspension will be in place for the next three days until 10 PM Tuesday Eastern Standard Time.

The decision follows update public health advice from multiple outbreaks across Australia.

It is crazy to book any interstate or overseas trip at the moment. It would not be relaxing, waiting for the sudden cancellation of flights, etc. We are still waiting for a refund of $7000 for flights and accommodation for a Gold Coast trip booked for April 2020. It will probably take five years to get a refund. We view this decade as the decade to explore our own state (Victoria) or if that closes down, we will explore our own backyard in minute detail. The glass is always half full.
