Scratch-built Convair Sea Dart RC model by 'Scaledown'. This nice looking model is made from depron. Inspired by the Polaris and Skipper - type models with a similar shape, this model is intended to take off from water without skis. Unfortunately powered by a 50 mm ducted fan with a 3S 2200 mAh LiPo battery it appears to be underpowered - having made only one successful flight to date (with no video to capture it). A few more mods....... watch this space!

MrWaz11: did you manage to get it airborne?
looking at the video it seems that not - or not only - power but underpressure on the step might be the problem. Could you share side views, front and bottom view photos so I may have a closer look?

try a 64mm and it while fly or a lighter battery already found a 2200mah battery way to big for a underpowered 50mm edf
