Thank you for your teaching method which is really helpful. I have two questions regarding two equations : 1) Why resolving power should be greater than average lambda over difference lambda ? 2)Is there any proof that resolving power is equal to order multiply number of slits?

In ur experimental calculation u written lambda instead of R.?

Your Derivation is Wrong. N is not the number of lines per cm, it is the number of slits on which the light falls. So, you should not multiply the length of the Grating by the line density to get N. What you need is the width of that tiny area on which the light falls on the grating. Then multiplying by line density of the Grating that quantity gives you the number slits on which the light falls and got diffracted. Kindly got educated and don't fake it.
