The chronology.

Basically, Ink is the first person to break the promise, he allows Cross to take pieces from every AUs to make his AU, by playing that he can't win, he can't defeat Cross, Cross is too powerful, but in reality, he can beat Cross.

This all was caused by insanity

Error was droven by insanity because of his loneliness, he doesn't have friends, no one want to speak to him, so he misunderstood that AUs are abominations and glitches that was meant to be destroyed and doesn't have the right to exist, and there should be only one universe, Undertale. He broken the truce by taking Cross's soul. So that Cross have to hunt down and destroy the AUs.

Ink too is droven by insanity for being forgotten, he HATES be to forgotten so his only choice is being the protector of AUs, so he could have friends and be popular and so that everyone will remember him. I explained how the truce was broken in the first section.

That explains why Ink and Error often have fight, insanity drove them into different ways, Error is an error, here to cause mayhem and terrors, Ink is the protector, to protect and defends the AUs

Ink thought that what he is doin is not breaking the rules, cuz he only let Cross to take pieces of the AUs to create his own AU, he didn't know that helping Cross and XGaster is aginst the rule too. Because the truce said that "Don't help ANYONE create more AUs".

They're both droven by insanity the different ways,
Error's way is like Dust, droven by insanity to kill his friends and family in his own universe, and continue to destroy others.
Ink's way is like Delta's droven by insanity from loneliness to protect other AUs from being destroyed.

the guilt of being a person who loves to create, leads not to believe in himself, and want to destroy what he did himself. make the creation at the same time destruction. Error in any way is right, you keep creating, you will continue to destroy or hate what you are doing. I look forward to the following chapters in case there are.

I love the small detail of Error Having his older design with the jacket! For those confused why Error has this design, Basically, I don't know which came first, but let's say this was made in chronological order, by the time Jale made the comic "The Truce", Error had only one design, which was basically Error!Sans but with the normal Undertale Sans Attire. This stayed true up until the some time after Error Appearing again in Underverse 0.1. which was when his creator "CrayonQueen" (sorry if I mispronouced the name) gave error a new unique design. Jael had error appear in the truce with his og design, but he also appeared in 0.1 with the same design. So simply changing him would probably make some issues. Not for Jael though. She changed Error to his new design at Xtra Scene 1, with the reason being that he just got some new clothes for himself. But since in the Underverse Chronological events this happens AFTER The Truce, and 0.1, Error having his new design in this would make a sort of plot hole. So the Attention to detail in making Error have his old design here just shows how much Jael cares for her work.

Im a person who really hates AUs but, I'll be honest now after seeing UNDERVERSE I love every single one in the series. Thank you for making them I really love UNDERCERSE.

Theory: I think X Gaster is mental repersention on ink and error situation, Ink creating and Error destroying on repeat to the point where things either go too far or just stop

X Gaster not only represents a feeling but also as a person in the outside world, you have this feeling that things are not good enough and so you try but it fails over and over and over again and what starts happening is that it effects the people around to (Aka XChara and XFrisk) and then they leave and suddently they are the ones picking up the pieces you’ve ripped up and trying to make use of them (The X-Event).

Ink gave Gaster advice on making a good AU and he did make one but that sense of imperfection caused him to completely destroy it all over again, like a paining with one mistake and so you throw it all away, kina like Error says, where no matter what you’ve created there will always be mistakes, and X Gaster is the one not using those mistakes as an advantage.

And I think this is what Underverse is all about, FIXING these mistakes, taking back the ripped up peices and taping them back together, to create somthing even more wonderful, a world with flaws yet perfect for the simple.

Edit: Another thing I realized is what happens when you stop creating completely. What happens when you don’t create or destroy. With Error and Ink, Ink is trying so badly to not create and Error will just follow behind him trying to destroy what he has made. Again, that sense of imperfection will drive you to destroy but that sense of creating something original and new will keep driving yourself to go on and make more. And this truce will drive both of them insain because on the fact they are bored out of their minds.

Still maybe the best part of S1 imo. The Ambient music perfectly captures the scene and previews the end of the season and XTale. And even though you scarcely see them you can feel their emotion as it sometimes only shows their lines putting the focus on it. Goosebumps every time

I absolutely LOVE the background music in this for some reason. The sped-down version of Truce/Treaty really evokes great emotion for Error’s and Ink’s truce.

Here's a little Underverse update from jael's tumblr that I think should be shared here. (These are her words)

"I have animated around 20 minutes already. And probably this animation will be around 30-35 minutes including the credits section, which includes a special scene that could be considered as the end… of the “first season”.

That’s it. Underverse will be separated in two seasons now, not because the plot has changed. This is because I want to take a very long break from these series and start working in a few animated shorts for my original project “Metadora”.

Underverse 0, 4 is probably going to be my last long animation. The upcoming parts will be shorter and hopefully easier to animate since 0.4 is taking all of my energy and health. My body is giving signals about it, so I must be careful and finish it soon. 0.3 part two was released on August, and I just can’t wait to release this one. The quality is better and all, but something inside me tells me that it’s about time to do so. Even I had to delete many scenes I wrote on the script, because making it lir I hope this episode will be done around June. But it will only depends on how Ink vs Error scene will take me to animate.

Yo am I the only one at 1:29 when Ink said "Promises are meant to be broken. Anyways." Think of Owners after Chara says to Flowey they had a promise and he said the same thing like the fact ink and flowey think the same is....frightening and AWESOME.
