The first Big Mouth creature I've seen that is not there to make the kids feel sh*tty. I hope they make more creatutes like him.
Don't get me wrong the hormone monstetr are good but also bad at the same time.

Honestly going through therapy, I teared up when Jessie said she could only be grateful, at the moment, for something as small as sour patch kids, and realizing that is valid!

If the only reason you think you can keep going, is that your grateful for the neighborhood cat that comes visit you at dinner every night, or that you really wanna see a movie/fi watch the finale of tv show you love, that’s valid.

They handled this extremely well, and I hope this does help a lot of people!

Hm...seems to me that this show shines in moments rather than episodes from what I can see - like...stuff like THIS. Gratitude Journals are often suggested to people with depression, because remembering what you're grateful for can actually help a lot. And Gratitoad has the perfect energy of conveying gratefulness, this actually warmed my heart a lot. I never thought I would SAY THAT about this cartoon.

The Gratitoad is such a good addition to the cast and once again I am so impressed with how well this show uses metaphors to represent complicated emotions. The Depression Kitty that never really leaves, but can shrink or grow depending on how well of a handle the person has on her, DK teaming up with Tito since Depression and Anxiety often work together, and that they don't magically go away- you'll have managae how big the cat gets or how much of a swarm your anxiety will be. The Gratitoad was the perfect weapon against Tito the Anxiety Mosquito. As someone who struggles with depression and anxiety, and has trouble putting mindfulness into practice, this part of the arc really made me feel seen and less silly about gratitude.

After seeing this episode, I was working with a middle school student with serious mental health issues. The student was having an anxiety attack and would not do the standard deep breathing, etc., skills. I suggested we play "the gratitude game, " and that we take turns saying things we're grateful for -- even silly things. I started out with "I'm grateful for Netflix." She played along, grudgingly at first, but it really did work and broke the anxiety attack. So ... like the character or not (I love him), but gratitude really can help.

Gratitoad is just amazing. This show is hilarious but under all the crudeness they've seriously got some awesome character depictions of inner feelings. I hope they keep this show going for a long while.
