At first i thought i was gonna have a stressful time due to the cinematics but then you put the layout in a format thats perfect

for those not happy with the basement's 2 block height, just use slabs for the roof so at least it'll be 2.5 and the chests will open

If you’re on survival, you don’t need all those buckets of water, just place them on top and put kelp all the way up, it’ll turn all the blocks into water sources

Thanks for the tutorial video! I built this with some minor modifications in my survival world, and it turned out great. I have one suggestion for an upgrade, which is to step down the basement at least one more block so you have head room. Looking forward to following along with more builds! :)

Great tutorial the only comment I have is perhaps do the full exterior first and then start decorating the interior, personally it got a little hard to see the structure with all the furniture already inside. Otherwise great tutorial, I love the build!

Chat dont use glass panes for the Axolotl tank. Mine died because of it! Use regular glass blocks so theres no airspace where Axolotl can take fall damage and/or die from prolonged land exposure

for those wondering why their house is darker than in the video: it's not the shaders, he put all the materials wrong and used oak wood instead of spruce for the stripped walls.

I built this totally different but same basic layout. I also don't like the 2 block basement. I made it 2 blocks lower, so half the basement was still above ground, but I made the door into it recessed with a couple rows of steps going up to the surface. Definitely try it that way if you want the basement to be taller.

note: if you place carpet next to the enchanting table it will decrease it max level so just put in wool blocks in the floor

i like the layout of your videos but i think you should do the complete building dimensions at the start of the video. i did the base of the building close to a lake thinking i had enough room but i ended up having to extend the land in front, shrinking the size of the lake which was unfortunate:(
