Thank you for the tutorial! This made me realize there's gaps in my theory education.
I thought that the note lengths in notation were wrong... I wanted to write down the notation as 12/16 time signature, with a bar of 8 x 8th notes instead being [8th 16th 8th 16th 8th 16th 8th 16th] to create the signature rhythm. So i googled triplets and discovered that in swing notation, that rythm is exactly what is represented by a bar of 8 x 8th notes. This might be a nitpick, and I guess not needed for those who know... But for those who might have missed the lesson on swing notation, maybe just putting the word "swing" above the first line of notation could help us get there sooner.
