I was there in mohali, totally heart broken and sentimental after the match, sherjeel struggled well and lala was looking in great touch and soon after he hit the ball up in the air, my heart felt the tuck sound the shot made, I thought it was going all way into the stands but anderson clung to it and took that catch and our hope. I still miss afridi though, the hype and anticipation that he carried around himself, giving hope to millions watching.
And Yeah me and my cousin were coming from theater, "kapoor and sons" we were heart felt already, watching it . I remember it was PVR centra mall, we rushed to the stadium, all mushy and sentimental trying get past the emotional storyline that was stuck in our mind. Thankfully our match tickets were still there in my backpack, rucked up but still presentable.
All night we were talking about it, on that ac semi sleeper class, chandigarh to delhi. I was all tired and listened to some jagjeet singh songs making it even more detrimental for my heart which was already dismantled. But now when I look back I see my cousin "Tahir" and his smile of despair : because of both, the pakistan's loss and Kapoor losing his only son in lethal car accident and I also miss the time we spent, the food we ate, miles we traveled and fun we had.
