Raven Oki Setups - QCF+1 #tekken8 #tekken #raven

WARNING: IF YOU TAKE TEKKEN 8 TOO SERIOUS AND are looking for a high quality/high level/high IQ Raven setup....well this is not that video haha. This is like try it once a match if anything. Once an opponent sees you doing it the second time they should be patient. Haha. Whatever it's fun to try.

This is a relatively bootleg way to fish for a counter hit qcf+1 into combo by pretending that I messed up the precious bt combo ender. Now I imagine you can perform the whiffed bt 2,1 f from any move that puts you in backturn. I liked to use 4,1 into the whiffed 2,1,f.

But basically I'm trying to fish for a counter hit qcf+1 combo by using tekken 8's aggressive "if you don't press buttons you die" style combined with "whiffed bt 2,1" combo ender as bait.

This setup is super easy to do and not super risky so I try to do it once every match. If your opponent is solid and not thirsty to press buttons after seeing Raven punch air with the BT 2,1 f, they'll be fine. But tekken 8 is all about pressing buttons haha. As you can see this has worked in all ranks (thus far). We'll see if I can get this to work on some of the local players offine.

Do you have to do this silly setup? Not at all. You aint never got to do these silly setups, but the beauty about Tekken is you get to play your way. I love that you can watch multiple Raven players but notice that none of them play the same.

But try it once (or twice) during a match see how your opponent responds to whiffed BT 2 ,1 on wake up. What's the worst that could happen? It doesn't work? Who cares as long as you are having fun.

THe funny thing is whenever I whiff BT 2, 1 the cmd dash 1, 2 almost always has a 100% success rate. You're def onto something here!

Nice, i need to find more ch1 traps, would be nice find a combo that could actually ch a wake up 3 or wake up 4.

I suppose you could mix in qcf+2 in this as well, especially at the wall for the df1, 4 followup on ch.

Solution if you whiff
1. if they're patience on the ground soulzone low 4 or overhead 2 depend on how they react to soulzone

2 if they do a wake up mid I follow up with 1+2 sabaki

3. Yeah i have no solution yet for low recovery kick since I cant low parry in crouch dash animatiom

All you have to do is watch your opponent since your already comfortable playing raven

I thought it was BT, 2, 2, SZ- I was wrong from the start. I sneak in qcf 1 in matches, it's never charged tho. Back to the lab for me. Thanks for the correction and great vid from you as always.
