I've been using the same ULA Circuit for 7 years. Never needed anything else. Crazy durable, lightweight for its volume and comfortable. I've used it for short backpacking trips, dozens of car camping trips and travel and it still looks like new. Love it.

I have used the Ohm 2.0 for several years and I love it. I am not an ultralight guy, and I know you are not either, but like you said, this pack strikes a good balance between weight and comfort. You will really like the pockets. I also like the hand loops for occasional use. I am looking forward to hearing your evaluation. Shout out to Shug for introducing me to ULA

Love ULA packs! I've had the Circuit for a couple years now and love it. Just a note; When ordering keep in mind they count the total volume by including the volume of all pockets and the collar. The actual volume of the main compartment is around 35-40 liters depending on the pack. Check their website for the breakdown of volumes for each pack.

Hey Dixie hope you are well and having a great Friday so far. Nearly the weekend yeah. Thought we would pop over again and see what you have been up to. This is a very cool backpack indeed, you are really smart with loads of knowledge. Thanks so much for sharing your insight and advice with us, huge thumbs up. Stay safe and catch up again soon God bless you 👍❤️🙏

I LOVE MY OHM. Used it on my AT thru hike in 2015. You can get in XPac material now too. Was thinking of upgrading just for waterproof pack and hip belt pockets. That was my bane on my AT hike the hip belt pockets just soak in the water! Did use a pack cover and pack liner, but the hip belt pockets are not waterproof unless you order XPac. Took out my foam pad and tri-fold my NeoAir lite for the back panel. Worked very well. Carries well with the U stay and the nice hip belt. Still using the original ohm 5 years later :)

Another nice video Dixie. I have an older Ohm 2.0 and use it for all summer and warmer trips. It is so comfortable and still looks new. I suggest to new folks when ordering to use the Ula measuring & sizing guide for the prefect custom fit. I ordered a newer Circuit in the X-Pac fabric (68 L) for longer and colder winter trips. The X-Pac material is weather/rain proof and high abrasion resistant as well in case someone has a need in rougher terrain. Thanks for your input, suggestion and tips. Keep up the good work and hikes.

The ULA Ohm 2.0 was my pack of choice for my 2018 AT Thru Hike! Stripped it down except for the Inside pouch that carried my First Aid Emergency Kit for easy access. Carried well and very durable. Washed it and sent back for repair after the hike. Returned to me no charge and good as new. Only pack I use now. The Circuit meets the food weight of the AT a little better, but Ohm is great for those that have their gear dialed in. Glad your giving it a try.

Hi Dixie! Love your channel! I've got the ULA CIRCUIT and took it to Pholmont Scout ranch for a 100 mile hike with my son. I was always the lightest guy and I know you'll be extremely happy with any ULA YOU purchase. Anyway, keep up the great work! I'm a fan.

Love my xpac ohm! Lots of additional customization options available. Just have to email or call them to discuss. As an example I had loops added toward the bottom of the pack like you were looking for. Let us know how u like it! What’s the deciding factor between packs? What are you looking for that you haven’t yet found in a pack for NZ?

Great video! ULA products are wonderful. You will love the ohm2.0. I have one and it is the most comfortable pack I own. The belt pocket are perfect for any quick need items. They’ll home a large smart phone or lunch snacks. Hope you enjoy your new ULA pack!

Great choice Dixie. I have two of them (one for me and my oldest daughter). The padding and design are really great. So comfortable. You brought up some great points about removing things that I hadn’t considered. The water bottle holder and hanging loops are two things that come to mind. I use poles, so the loops don’t get used much. I wished I went with the roll top, but it still works well. I have a pack cover in case it rains. Curious to see how you like your new hammock. Warbonnet makes good stuff. In spots with lots of trees, walking up and looking out at nature is a real plus. Love your insights! Stay safe!

I just used my Ohm 2.0 for the first time this week on a short hike in Arkansas. I really enjoyed using it with a full pack weight of about 25 lbs. I am 69 years old and it really made a huge difference going from a pack that weighed 5 lbs to one that only weighs 2 lbs.

I have the Ohm and the larger Catalyst(for bulkier winter gear). I love them. In my estimation the ULA products are the perfect balance of light weight, durability and affordability. I love how they carry the weight. The suspension is wonderful. And the customer service is top notch. I'm very interested to see how you like it.

Hand loops? Hell YES! As I've aged (I'm 66), I find my hands swelling...a lot... when they hang. I think I'll make some for my pack!!
I had to get a new pack in 2015, and I got the brightest color. I have sons who would otherwise borrow it and wear it out.

I own this pack for a couple years now. I'm a bigger man at over 6' and about 270lbs. I've easily carried 40lbs in this pack for days at a time. It will of course fill better closer to 30lbs. I often carry a chair with me. I strap it on the top of the pack. The reason I mention this is with the roll top you have buckles on the sides that you can attach the roll top to. Then you can use the center strap to fasten your camp chair or perhaps your tent to on top of your pack horizontal. Lol. I really love the mesh pocket. It holds a ton of stuff. I think you'll really enjoy this pack.

I've had the ohm's big brother for a few years now and I love it. It's a super simple design. I do use the front water bottle holders for my 1 liter platypus bottles. Keeps them handy and I usually don't have to take them off to get a drink. I'm not a trekking pole person, more of a walking stick, like Gandalf so I do use the hand holds. Overall a very well balanced and versatile pack, that is comfortable. I usually carry about 28 to 30 lbs before food and water depending on season.

I love my Ohm. Everytime I think about using one of my other packs I always go back to the ULA, its just so comfortable and has great hip belt pockets.

A bonus use for the front hand straps is you can carry collapsed trekking poles horizontally through them. It’s handy if you quickly need to transition to having free hands.

Little late to the party, but I've been speaking with Peter at ULA, and you can add bottom
attachment points/straps to the pack for a pad/tent/etc... They quoted me at $25.00, so
depending on how frugal you are, it's up to you to decide if it's worth
it, or if you might want to sew them on yourself. Definitely e-mail them if you want customization though, they're quick to respond and very willing to accommodate.
