Swift Zwift Tip: Zwift Built-in Smart Trainer Spindown [New Feature]

The latest Zwift update includes the ability to perform a spindown/calibration of FE-C / Bluetooth compatible smart trainers. There's no need to quit Zwift to perform a spindown/calibration/zero offset and reload to get yourself accurate numbers. Here's the process in today's Swift Zwift Tip

Great Zwift added this feature. No more having to pair to my phone out of the game. Bought a wahoo tickr to replace the garmin HR monitor like you suggested. No more problems. Need to order another one for the wife now.

This feature is pure gold for the Kickr...no more fiddling with Bluetooth signals and spoiling a podcast.
Now if Zwift could just add lap power for non erg intervals.

Navigation in Zwift is my headache. I'm normally watching informative YouTube videos & get side tracked so when I look back at Zwift I'm lost! 😅

Seems like all of the Wahoo apps I was previously able to do the spindown with have all become incapable of communicating with my Kickr2. I REALLY hope this feature works when I get a chance to try or it's 2 weeks waiting for a Wiggle warranty replacement

I have the Kickr Snap 2017 and for some reason when I do this it gets stuck on 2mph when freewheeling. Therefore the process fails!

Thanks Shane - loving these little quick hitters. I've learned some new things! I have a question. I was doing some intervals in workout mode tonight. I had my the intervals set to ERG, with the last one transitioning into a 3 min free-ride segment. Unfortunately, the game did not release the Kickr (original) from ERG, and I was stuck at 350W for the 3 minutes. Have you ever had this happen? It's happened to me two or three times over the last six months. Not a huge issue, but the timing tonight was not good (this was my 4 week block FTP test and it did this at the critical point in the workout). :(

Just a quick one, when doing a spin down in zwift is there a “protocol” to doing it? Always wondered if it makes a difference if you are in the big ring or little ring and also if you slowly build up to 36 or get up to speed fairly quick

I can not find whereyou are pointing your cursor while watching on my cell phone to bring up the tool for the spindown...thanks so much.

Ive done the in game calibration and got a success message When I go for a ride Zwift says I am producing 2000 watts plus. I'll stick with the Cycleops app until it get sorted out

All this is not bad.However, it is not possible to calibrate the machine on mobile apps.There is no "key" icon in the mobile app and I don't even know what to do.It doesn't work.

Does the tool icon only come up when u revert to paired devices menu after already starting to ride?
Tried to use zwift to spin down kickr today and had to use wahoo app
