The Giants need to clean the entire house. Giants football at its best has always been about tough nose defense ground & pound downhill power football. DJ is not to blame for this organizations poor mistakes handling negotiations with Barkley, not finding an adequate replacement. DJ cannot carry them onhis arm. Watson cannot in Cleveland. He did do so in. Houston. But the premise remains the same for EVERY quarterback in the NFL not named Mahomes & like 3-4 others. He is a 3rd and short manage the game QB and guess what? Theres NOTHING wrong about that! If they kept Barkley they would be just fine. Yes it is tough to make decisions about how they were going to extend Saquon and DJ but they had AMPLE time and opportunities to get both done. I dont want to hear sh** about the contract offer they gave Barkley. It was about more than just numbers and real Giants fans KNOW in their heart that was the case. Dont let the GM off the hook for his continued incompetence and how vital he is to the product you see on that field. In the NFL, its hard to win. Everyone also wants to get paid. We saw the RBs who went down and hurt leverage for future RBs due to a bad few situations like Chubb or Gurley or Bell in the past & their franchises. Rams truly got burned but they also knew Todd injury history was severe. Barkley did have tough sledding to rehab the injuries he had since being pro but he also loved being a Giants and felt disrespected by how they handled that extension in house. Fans now want to turn on him and DJ when they needed BOTH to get max value out them as a pair. Jones to me was never going to be Marino or Elway but with a good run game he can produce at QB. May have to deal with occasional picks/fumbles, but if you look at SF and what happened between them & Jimmy, its the same issue and outcome + he got hurt several times. Its a part of the game. Yes, good enough to start but not to win on your arm alone. Derek Carr was dealt the same hand by LV. Yes Giants went and got talent in the draft w/ Nabers. But he is still a rookie. Had the dropsies. First game no problem. I know for a fact that Giants offer to Saquon said publicly one thing as far as numbers and total value, behind the scenes in fine print another. But, we should know that and not need a debate segment to recognize it was likely the guaranteed money or length of deal or both, plus negative clauses to reduce the value and thats AFTER they did the clown stuff with trade talk and tagging him floaters as a resolution. When you are the best player and most productive on an offense you earned more respect than that! You worked your tail off and did the rehabs and all that. Its a tough spot for both player and team. Most times we know teams are advised to pay the QB before the back. Thats just how it goes. But i dont like how fans are trying to blame Barkley for DJ regression and knowing he was never a Brett Favre or Marino who could carry them to begin with up to the point they had ro work extensions out for both. Quit buying into the debate show BS and think for yourself! If you make me wait for 4 years to get my first taste of real financial security and go about it like NY did with him, IDGAF i wont sign and first solid deal that comes with also a chance to win and less underemphasized clauses that reduce the value of the extension offer IM GONE!

I personally enjoyed watching the giants when Tyrod Taylor was at the helm. Not the best choice but he had experience and he was hungry to be a starter. Daniel jones is really hard to watch and very clumsy, the only reason the Giants ( I feel) keep starting him they are trying to justify that horrible contract.
