We are going to take a look at new improvements to my Amex Everyday trifecta that uses the Amex Green Card, the Amex Everyday Preferred, and the Amex Blue Business Plus. This trifecta comes in at a fraction of the cost of the conventional trifecta and manages to effectively hit more spending categories and afford you access to the same travel partners. However the new improvement Amex made has supercharged this trifecta and you are going to have to watch to find out how. #trifecta #amex #creditcard

Your new trifecta makes a lot more sense, better cost and utility. I am doing the duo Personal Gold + BBP, and will soon axe the Schwab Platinum and Business Gold. The Delta Reserve + Hilton Aspire covers my premium needs, and the Business Hilton works out better for shipping.

This is a super viable setup. I'm a fan of this hybrid Amex trifecta for sure being that I don't travel super often yet. That update to the Amex Green card definitely helps this one out a bunch! Happy Thanksgiving my man. 🦃

I have a green card before $189 full clear credit. The regular every day and the blue business plus. I find that extra point more for groceries on every day preferred does not justify paying $95 annual fee for me. I would only get the preferred for the upgrade bonus or sign-on from a fresh application, and then cancel after a year or downgrade or cancel after a year. I have the blue business plus already. I have all my bases covered.

That's a super valuable setup for only $245 and provides a great option for people who want a lower-cost alternative to the regular AMEX Trifecta. Great video as always Chad!

Was thinking about this video today and thought of another trifecta: ED Preferred, Green Card, & Hilton Aspire. Diamond status, $250 airline credit, $250 resort credit, Priority Pass, free night reward, and retaining 3-4.5x on restaurants / groceries, 3x on travel, and up to 3x on gas, all for the price of the Platinum alone (can even keep the BBP for non-category, making it a "quadfecta"). Thoughts? Maybe we can get a full-length review?

I just figured out that I can hit the 30 transactions easy on the everyday preferred by adding one dollar daily reloading my Amazon gift card that linked to the account. I already know I’m going to use 30 dollars on Amazon. And by doing this, I get a 50% bonus on points. Also right now you can activate an Amazon offer on the preferred which gets you 5x points on Amazon until Dec 25. Perfect for holiday shopping.

Great video Chad! I have all these cards but I'll probably be cancelling the Green card in Dec. Maybe I'll try this set up in the future but for now, I'm still rocking the Gold and Platinum too

Now with the gold card going to 325 and a resy and Dunkin credit to keep track of, I’m trying to reacquire the every day or get the everyday preferred and I downgraded back to green. I don’t value the credits on green, but I can use it all the time to get a lot of value value out of it. The fee of $45 is better than 25 on the gold by itself. My preferred I’m going to downgrade in February back to the blue cash everyday.

I really appreciate your videos thank you. I was wondering which one of these cards in your hybrid trifecta could I sub out since I already have the personal gold?

Amex stopped applications for the EDP. Will this trigger an update video?

Sir
Do you think a trifecta consisting of the
Platinum
Gold
Green
Can be used effectively?

Great updates! I hope they continue to add benefits to the green card. Personally, I think I would swap the green card and everyday preferred for the gold card, mostly because I don’t want to have to keep track of making sure I hit 30 transactions on the everyday preferred to get that 50% bonus. 😅

An interesting take. I like it. Right now I’m actually making a pretty significant profit off of a platinum card, depending on how you look at it. I do know this is something that many people don’t do.

I think that the blue cash every day & the Hilton honors make a very interesting and underrated duo for someone who doesn’t fly but still travels and values hilton stays. The blue cash every day is a surprisingly powerful card when you remember just how much you can get from online retailers, and the Hilton Honors card with that 3X back on everything else category is actually something like 1.5% or better on all of your non-category spend, up to about 3% on your non-category spend if you spend your Hilton points on really good redemptions. There are certainly more powerful combinations once you start getting into cards with fees, but someone who has adamantly never going to pay an annual fee would still get quite a lot out of those two. Maybe throw in a general 2% cashback on everything card to finish it out.

I think this is an excellent alternative trifecta with Amex. Although the green card won’t suit everyone (it doesn’t suit me well), I still think that the is card is grossly underrated. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving Chad!
