Great picks, Mary. It's no surprise that your choices are mainly from the 1970s foundation years of progressive rock, but I thought I'd have a look at the wonderful resurgence of prog in the 21st century without resorting to progressive metal, so I'll share 9 from 2000 onwards and 1 from my favourite progressive rock band of the 1970s.

You can't go wrong with one of the six Genesis studio albums to feature Steve Hackett. Pick a number... 3... that means the wonderful Selling England By The Pound, but it could be Nursery Chryme (as you picked), Foxtrot with Supper's Ready, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway or the two great albums released after Peter Gabriel left, A Trick Of The Tail or Wind and Wuthering.

I never saw Rush as a prog band Sorry No Marillion Fugazy instead of JT Gentle Giant the first The Flock Dinosaurs Swamp, Supertramp Crime of the century and Even in the quietest moment ! All in all good choice as usual being and old man I am not so familliar with band like porcupine tree. You forgot ELP The first and Tarkus two gems !
