My girlfriend is the same way... The first 3 months of our relationship she checked my phone every day for 3 months "every day" but she told me that after 1 year. Im more an introvert person, i love hanging out by myself, playing guitar, or going for a hike, when i tell her that, she acts like she understands it, but in fact she doesn't its pretty exhausting.

I take adderall which raises my blood pressure. My ex was Mexican. Last straw was when I cancelled on driving to see her (she was unable to drive my way because her car was getting fixed). I cancelled Saturday because I was exhausted from a hard day at work. My car's engine was also needing maintenance and the treads on my tires were very worn. Tuesday or Wednesday (days prior cancelling) we spent the whole day together; I accompanied her to get her finger prints done for a background check and we went to the park after. Thursday I went to her house and spent the night. It hurts me but I had to let her go after she wouldn't stop arguing and picking at me for cancelling on Saturday. I could literally feel the pain and stress in my body. Headache, tight chest. I'm sorry but a nagging woman that's unable to be flexible ain't gonna be the reason I die. Frick that.

Literally tried all of this - Encouraging her to find new anything else, expressing that I think she's too clingy and I need space, telling her I don't want to rush things. We talk, she says she "understands and will be okay now that she knows this." Multiple times every week she still gets super mad because I didn't text her good morning quickly enough this one time when I was "supposed to" or any miniscule reason that she can hold under a microscope. It seriously feels like she likes being mad at me, and I'm just exhausted from it.

"I want to miss you sometimes" didn't work. Instead, I was called cold and not good enough for her. Well here's cold, "let me see you out."

My nephews girl is the most clingiest girl I have ever seen.. she sometimes want him to take off of work to hang with her. If he's on vacation for 7 days she with him for 7 days. If his friends are here, she's here. Where ever he goes in the house, she follows.

My girlfriend is like this she constantly calls me in the dead of night despite knowing how long my hours are. She accuses me of cheating just because I choose to sleep instead of staying up all night to talk with her. I try to compromise with her and arrange us to video chat on the weekends when I'm well rested but she says love is spontaneous. I'm just exhausted. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! My girlfriend 7 years now we live together go out together all the time, i go to work I do music produce / Dj / go gym in my spare time she just goes to work comes home doesn’t really have any hobbies I ask her to come gym she doesn’t bother so it’s like after work what does she do other than focus on me 24/7 ? If I ever end up with a clingy women she's going to help me problem solve. I guarantee putting a woman to work building projects will get old to her, she will need a break and there goes the clingy behavior.

I've tried that constructive conversation tip. I tried stressing it, I tried to be polite but no matter what she took it a completely negative way and started to cry and ask that we not talk in such a fashion or just not talk about that kind of stuff at all.
Heck, if I try to make any sort of serious discussion regarding separate time away, she gets all teary-eyed and even more clinging. Always insisting that we'll always need one another no matter what.

Any advice around that, anyone?
