Love David Goffin - wonderfully talented player who does not have the height and strength of some of the other top ATP players but has exceptional skill and movement which makes him a winner. Great instructional video- love the bit about shoulder to leg ratio.

All good points, but he didn't mention the one thing he does, that a lot of amateurs don't - he strikes the ball instead of "pushing" the ball. It sounds too obvious for him to mention I suppose, but the key thing is the racket head acceleration he generates - his legs and hips help to propel his torso and arms thus generating the high racket speed.

Just what I needed for my club tournament! I'm aiming to get my first ever win in a tournament. My results so far have been...

I know many people have told me to quit but I will not give up and am going to fight till the end for a victory. I think my 1R match will be on 25th May so remind me to update you guys on the result! Wish me good luck!

Edit: I lost my match (6)6-7, (5)6-7 but that is a great improvement on my previous matches!

Edit 2: I entered another tournament and I won!!! The score was 4-6, 6-1, [10-7]. I was 1-6 down in the championship tiebreak but fought till the end! Funnily enough it was my backhand which was firing on most cylinders so thank you David Goffin 😍

I don't know how goffin is so much consistent with his flat backhand. i play with flat double hand backhand most of the time but i am not this much consistent I dont know why. some people say he hits topsin backhand but how come ? he doesnt have close racquet face while hitting his backhand, he doesnt have wrist lag while hitting. I dont know how come he is so consistent with his strokes.
