Black or dark grey. I guess most folks are like you Tim and like the look of the dark stuff. I have no interest in baking in black out in the sun or in being invisible in low light. Sure wish more gear makers offered white/light grey and some hi-viz patches are a plus in my book.

For me, there is a lot of value in a review like this. Too many people are reviewing gear they haven't really lived in. Too many people will say anything for free gear. Thanks for taking the time.

Always look forward to your episodes Tim. In a world where people say, " one day I'm gonna do this and that", you are doing it.
Kudos to you 👍

Hey Tim. Thanks for the review! I recently tried on the Rev'it Defender 3 jacket, cause I liked the styling and I wanted a "do it all jacket". I agree with you that in terms of fitment rev'it is very strange. It was a nice jacket, but in the end I ended up with the Klim Carlsbad instead, it was less fussy with the layers and I liked the fit better. I bought some new Rev'it gloves to go with the Carlsbad suit though. Think they were called "Rev it Mangrove gloves"? Really like them. Have a nice day!

Hi Tim, I have a Rev'it Sand 3 jacket, great tour jacket also.... not waterproof but better venting and a nice big rear pocket that I use all the time.. i use a dedicated Rain overcoat instead of the liners that come with it. It makes no sense to me that you have to get undressed on the side of the road as its starting to rain and zip in a bunch of liners... lol.

At the start of the video when you were standing wearing a hat, sunglasses and the jacket I thought you were a Paris runway model. 😃
Looking cool dude. 👍

All I have to say is thanks for reviewing gear that an average American can afford. I am in tons of BMW groups and all of the are talking about their amazing Klim gear. Mostly Boomers of course which I am jealous of because they are the only ones that can afford that stuff!

How long can it stand under average rain before leaking? 1h? 2h?

Great looking jacket but I’m skeptical of its true summer venting during a Texas summer. I want a 4 season jacket but I already know I’ll burn up from June-September in Houston. I ride in a Rev it Eclipse mesh jacket during the summer and it flows a ton of air and it’s still incredibly hot.

Thanks for sharing this.

I agree on the European fit. I purchased one of Revits summer vent jackets 3XL it was really snug. Where other jackets I have purchased in the past were 2XL and fit nice. Enjoyed the video Tim. RIDE SAFE!

Great stuff, I used to wear shit like that and be uncomfortable for years too. The truth is you can only be as safe as the climate you’re in.

I was just revisiting this review of the jacket and it had me wondering, what do you do, if anything, for waterproof gloves?

I have this jacket and the waterproof thing lasted about 2yrs. Only 30sec of slight rain i will start to feel damp on my arms. Looking back i should have gone for the Sands3 or spend more fore gortex model

Enjoy your videos, and your reviews. The question I have is, are the zippers YKK?

I don't think I heard you mention where this jacket is made?
