You hit it right on the money. I was born and raised in New York City. I have traveled all over the world as a musician/producer and honestly, although I love traveling and performing, there is no place like New York. The energy is different and like you said, New York is dirty and grimey but there is TONS AND TONS of beauty and we have access to EVERYTHING. If one place doesn't have it, just ask or search it. You will find it in NY. The energy is everything, the people are the heartbeat of this city. My view of NY changed completely on 9/11, the way this city came together made it clear to me that I will forever be a New Yorker. Some people just don't get it and if you don't then get out the way, we got business to get to . Stand to the side, thanks.

I want to move to New York more than anything right now. Daydreaming about it has become my quarantine escape. I’ve only spent about 10 hours in the city in a passing stop on a trip but I feel like it’s MY place.

ive been only once but it is unexplainable, always dreamed of going, i had no friends there no family there but the place gives me goosebumps. The energy the vibe and the character of the place is nothing like i have experienced anywhere else. Its only New York. LA San Fransisco other places in the world do not have the same magic for me.

New York IS the best city in the world . I finally moved here last year from Australia .
I finally made my way back to my spiritual home for good after my first 3 visits in 1999, 2014 and 2018 . I hope anybody that reads this and hasn't ever been to New york, that you will get here to visit or move . Ditto for those who have been here and want back . The magic there is you need great resources, education and moderately high steady finances flowing in you need to have constant direction, your next move, be strongminded need a lot of adrenaline & ambition about what you want, and know ahead where your short term goals will take you otherwise you are a big dreamer with all that electricity lost in the cracks of the city's fast paced high Vibe illusion which seem to be the one magnet that keep ppl moving !
