Nightflyers and Other Stories by George R.R. Martin | Telepaths, horror, love, and more!

This is an excellent collection of short stories from his work in the '70s. There are a lot of really unique and creative ideas, although Nightflyers does really feel like Alien, it has its own fresh twist. A Song for Lya is really a beautiful exploration of the meaning of love and loneliness, while set in a galaxy with telepaths exploring an ancient civilization. Nightlfyers is a story of scientists on a spaceship seeking out a highly advanced alien species to make first contact and learn of their technology, only to find out there's a secret passenger aboard. These are tthe best stories in the collection and I really enjoy them~

Nighrflyers really amazing. There are two versions of it do you know? Also, there is a movie. Old one and cheap, but it deserve to be watched one time at least.

I heard a theory that the red things in NightFlyers is the red comet from ASOIAF or Game of Thrones and that it is the reason why Missandra gave birth to a Shadow and how Dany wasn’t burned by the flames at Drogo’s funeral
