The Mopar ones look like they belong in a GM product. Thousands of plugs I’ve done over the years, GM were the vehicles that the plug didn’t have ripples in the porcelain upper part. The ripples were purposely there to reduce arcing. I learn something new everyday even tho im retired from the trade now. I will go ahead and assume that Mopar plug part number will fit GM as well. Old days multiple part numbers for specific cars and reasons such as heat range but they reduce part numbers now days and allows for multiple applications from one part

It's funny when I worked in the Toyota dealership and Corollas were built at a joint venture plant in California. Some of them had A/C Delco plugs. I've never bought into needing specific brand plugs in your engine except in a few applications. Quality plugs work in any engine

Yeah and Denso alternators and starter or at least they did a few years ago. Probably compressors too.

Depends on the engine what style plugs. The older cars were champion spark plugs and that goes back 50 years or so. Newer cars like the hemis and 3.6 use ngk as their supplier. Both my 88 dakota and 85 ram are Champion RN12YC from the factory.

For Spark Plugs, you can get away with OE replacement especially with coil on plug ignition, the plug will definitely fire.

My '12 Grand Caravan with the Pentastar, has 120, 000+ miles with original plugs and runs beautifully. When I do have them changed I'm thinking of new coil overs at the same time. Probably save money at the end because of labor costs if they fail. What's the consensus?

What do you think about ohem testing the plugs fixed my car up nicely.

Chrysler uses and has used Champion plugs for decades.

Champion is the OEM for the Pentastar plugs. NGK is just a better plug. Some of the previous generation Dodge engines had NGK OEM plugs. You'll see them listed in the manual under the parts list. I know for sure the 4.7 used NGKs.

Used to be Champion only, 66 Satellite and 68 Roadrunner.

As long as it's not a champion plug. Wouldn't put one in my Wheelbarrow

Pluhs do matter. Out NGK in the old pushrod v8s and youll be missfiring in a few oil changes. They used Champions without issue. I use what my corrolla specifies from the manufacture, platinum, my motorcyxce, oem iridium NGKs. I dont out NGKs in domestics usually but since some newer engines are being engineerd by imoort manufactires..

So I had bad experiences with NGK in the 3.6 pentastar. If you look close at the NGK, the arc surface is tapered. The champion or Mopar are not tapered which means bigger arc surface area. Take a close look. Also, I had them both grabbed at .043 and .044. The jeep liked the champions a lot better, way smoother Was getting random misfires with the NGKs. Sorry to all the NGK lovers, just my experience.

A lot of Ford products have NGK plugs from the factory. Even the plugs in the Motorcraft boxes from the dealership have NGK part numbers on the actual plugs.

I have a '19 Cherokee w/3.2L v6 w/52k miles. When would you suggest changing spark plugs? My mileage had been around 24mpg, but recently dropped to 21mpg. Should I be concerned?

We use Champion spark plugs at Dundee Engine when we build the 3.6
