Disabling Java in Google Chrome PC, Mac, or Linux in Three Easy Steps

Показать описание
How to disable Java in Google Chrome to protect yourself against the latest in Java exploits.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome.
Step 2: In the Address Bar, type "chrome://plugins/" (without quotes) and press enter.
Step 3: Scroll down to Java and select Disable
As of now, I believe that this exploit affects Macs as well. For people using Linux or Unix, I don't know if this exploit exists, but I would disable it there as well. Some Linux distributions include a program called IcedTea. This is the open source equivalent to the Java browser plugin for Linux. I would disable it just to be safe.
When and if Oracle ever patches the exploit, use these same steps to re-enable Java.
