Radiohead's 2001 album Amnesiac is a project full of tracks worked on during the Kid A sessions that didn't make the final cut. There really are two types of songs you could find in this tracklist; the amazing Kid A related bangers and the scrapped bits of trash.

Songs like Life in a Glasshouse and Knives Out are beautifully produced and performed, and they're hypnotizing listens just like some of the best songs on Kid A are. But then there's songs like Like Spinning Plates and Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors, incredibly boring and underwhelming electronic tracks that are too experimental and unusual for their own good. Morning Bell/Amnesiac is just a far worse version of Kid A's Morning Bell, and Dollars and Cents is a pretty forgettable deep cut. Hunting Bears gets too much hate since it is just an instrumental, but it still is one of the weaker songs that Radiohead has ever come out with.

Depending on the song I'm speaking about, my apparent views and opinions on Amnesiac varies a LOT. It's an album littered with both spectacular and terrible Radiohead songs, and it's a really inconsistent listen. Despite that inconsistency, there are still many great instrumentals, singing, displays of lyricism, and production on the album. Is it heavily troubled? Yes, absolutely, but I think the highest highs are higher than the lowest lows are low, and there is more quality than there is not. It's just that some of these tracks should've definitely stayed in the vault.
