Mulligan is very well spoken and articulate, and knows a lot about all the men he worked with. His interviews are better than I expected.

I had the Baron for a teacher in the late 80s, was real fun to see both sides of someone .

If BJ Mulligan says you're tough, you are tough!

The Baron was a legit great amateur wrestler. He was a state champion, big 8 conference champion in college, AAU champion, world championships bronze medal, qualfied for the Olympics in wrestling, won an overall US military interservice championship in wrestling. He was also on a state champion football team in high school in Nebraska.
He was one of the most skilled wrestlers of his era in pro wrestling.

Bob Roop, Billy Robinson and Blackjack Mulligan have all mentioned how legit Baron was. That's when you know someone was the real deal!

I had the pleasure of getting to see these two greats live up close when wrestling had its real wrestlers that would drop you at any given second . Loved watching you both . Thank you .

Mulligan sold like a true gentleman during his interviews.

I remember him starting out in the AWA as a referee using his real name "Bob Wyndom" and of course his famous sons Barry and Kendell later on....he teamed up with Jack Lanza to become the Black Jacks.

Das ist richtig, the Baron was the real deal but I honestly kind of looked at him as a little clumsy in the ring back in my youth .

Raschke was Hulking up long before Hogan made it famous.

As a face Raschke would be taking a beating, then slowly start perking up, each punch would increase his strength until he was goose stepping around the ring impervious to pain. Then he would unleash The Claw.

I love how Jack tells his stories, where he still tells his stories w/a slight Kayfabe tint to them bc he did it for so long and it was such an major part of their jobs. I don't know if that makes sense but obviously these interviews are not brand new (I'm guessing 10 - 15 yrs old bc of the hgher quality of video) but clearly long after Vince spilled the beans on RAW. Though if you listen to him tell his stories (maybe not so much in this one but others bc the algorithm has me in a Jack Windham/Mulligan loop at the moment but I don't mind.) it's probably a muscle memories like hitting the bathroom switch the same way for 40 yrs then you have the bathroom redone + you now have to retrain the muscle memory to break that habit.

I only saw the baron at the end of his career and he was great then . I would have loved to see him in his prime
