I'm looking at this cooler for my PS5. This looks like the biggest cooler that will fit in the slot. Good to know it's effective.

Great job explaining bro! Found your channel from ThinkMedia!

Quite a tight fit on a double sided nvme with heatspreader, probably best to use one pad on the bottom and heatsink paste on the heatspreader side, otherwise its a hope it'll squish down once hot.

Maybe it was edited out, but did you replace the side panel on your case? If not, I would be concerned that your heat measurements are not accurate. Without buttoning up the case, the fans, baffles, and shrouds are not as effective, and any cooling baffles are completely negated. If the replacement of the panel was just edited out, please pardon my inquiry.

The instructions show using 2 pads, top & bottom on the NVBMe.2. Are you re-engineering the instructions?

I purchased this as a PCIe 3.0 x 4 Lane Adapter for my Alienware R-10 that only has one M.2 slot. I didn't realize this was considered a HEATSINK although it mentions having "Heat Sink" capabilities. In fact, in 2023 through Amazon it is listed now as a "M.2 NVME SSD PCIe ADAPTER for PCIe M.2 NVMe (Key-M)>>>>I have no idea what KEY-M references. Ironically, my wife jumped the gun so to speak due to her ordering things from Amazon and didn't inform me ahead of time....I mention that because I had placed a couple of products in the cart (vs creating a wishlist)...resulting in the order being shipped containing:

1) 1 x MHQJRH --which was boxed completely different...just plastic bags loose in a cardboard box but all sealed...
2) 1 x SABRENT NVMe HEATSINK MODEL SB-HTSP (not the HTSK that you reviewed)
3) 1 x Sabrent Rocket NVMe 4.0 SSD---- THIS WAS THE MESS UP BECAUSE I DIDN'T INTEND TO PURCHASE THE 4.0 SSD DUE TO THE ALIENWARE R-10 MOTHERBOARD HAVING A PCIe 3.0 slot and not a 4.0...However, my understanding is they are backwards compatible and due to being on sale the time and hassle to ship it back/return and to purchase a 3.0 SSD would be a wash....

With that stated, I was using the MHQJRH as an adapter and not a HEATSINK as I stated above. To install an additional M.2 SSD I must have an adapter and seeing that you chose the MHQJRH makes me feel somewhat better due to how the packaging or lack of packaging the box had...all the pieces tossed around inside the box but I opened and all seems to be in good shape. My BIGGEST CONCERN, especially with the horribly designed Alienware cases....is blocking more airflow...and due to the sabrent heatsink being so thick I doubt it will fit...

If you see this and feel it would be worthwhile responding I would appreciate. DO I have any hope of installing all 3 of these products in the system I have...the GPU is a RTX 3070 and it is liquid cooled. Thanks in advance.

I installed this heatsink with my 980 pro about a month and a half ago and was getting between 38-42c. Just recently for some reason my temps went up to 46-48c. do you think 48c is a safe temp to stay at consistently? I'm worried because I already had a 980 pro fail on me this year and I had to send it back to get a replacement. I lost everything and don't want that to happen again. I've been thinking about getting a different heatsink like the SABRENT M.2 2280 SSD Rocket Heatsink (SB-HTSK) do you think getting a different heatsink would be worth it or should I not be concerned with those temps and just keep my current heatsink.

Hey Gill, why do you keep saying the target is 52C? The first heatsink tested topped at 70C and this one at 63C, so are you already predicting the best one in a future video or is there a particular reason why you mention 52C as the target?

can this heatsink fit a msi x570 gaming plus motherboard with a samsung 970 evo ssd?

Very well made heatsink, my concern is orientation : the fins should ideally be parallel to the direction of gravity, that helps a lot with natural convection of hot air, I am not sure how much of a difference that will make in this particular setup, but I am sure it will make a difference dropping a few degrees, heat management is very complex and I truly appreciate you videos keep it up 🤩.

Is it really necessary to install the tiny screws to the sides of the heat sink? What happens if you don't?
