You should have tested for chlorine differences as I think most people buy these for that.

Yeah it’s just a carbon filter but you have really good water from tap, meaning you already have soft water 🚿

Well it's not really a water softener... It's a water filter.
It's suppose to remove Chlorine from the water which is what does the most damage to the hair and skin.
You can't really soften your water without salt.

I'd kill to bathe in 076ppm! My water is about 700ppm...

You are measuring parts per million for a shower filter. That filter just removes the chlorine, you aren't supposed to drink from it. You are probably just measuring the carbon particles that came loose out of the filter that are floating around in the water (which is harmless). This test makes no sense. If you want to test this filter's effectiveness, you should test the chlorine content, not the particles in the water.

This is not how to test the shower filters .
You just don't understand how it works 😆

lol dude total dissolvable solids is not measuring anything specific....get something that measures Cl or Lead or IDK a specific thing youre trying to avoid. The filter is made of carbon...there are particles in that....idk. also maybe read about water testing more? Just a thought.

Purpose of shower filter is to remove chlorine. Carbon filters are pretty good at removing many things, but not good at reducing TDS. Your tap water TDS rating is surprisingly low to begin with. TDS meters measure electrical conductivity (minerals).

Yes bro I just Did the same thing and it’s fake brother

This test does not make sense as it is measuring the total solids dissolved in water and the unit is ppm. The percentage of chlorine ion in ppm is very small compared to all other salts. This water filter just removes the chlorine ions, not other salts that remain in the water. There will be a very small change in ppm by removing the chlorine and it cannot be detected by this TDS meter.

It's a filter, not a water softener.

I'm guessing shower filters do not remove tds ??? I just bought one and mine is reading 356 same as the tap water. However my water filter is reading zero.

Is a shower filter not drinkable water

just trying to understand.. your tap water is at 76 ppm means your tap water is already good quality. What do you expect this filter to do to your water? I live in London where the water is about 300-350 ppm hard, if I use here then it should take out some hardness of water for sure.

their website stated
AquaSorb™ HX coconut shell carbon
reduces chlorine and synthetic chemicals

KDF 55 PROCESS MEDIA copper/zinc blend
further reduces chlorine and enhances pH

Dude I just did the same thing with the exact same water tester and then Realized I’m not testing for the same things my drinking water filter filters. If you look up what your actually doing and testing I think you’ll find you’re testing for the wrong substances.
