GACC Registration – Food Certification for China

A variety of food certifications control the import of food into China. Some are mandatory, while others are voluntary. In addition to registration with the GACC, some foods also require approval with the SAMR (State Administration for Market Regulation). The way a product is marketed also influences which food approval is required, or makes sense, in China.
