I wonder why non of the journalists asked Christian if they are planning to make that engine available to other manufacturers. 2 litre is very common size and a down graded version can be used in many different vehicles.

3:10 actually with an empty battery it would get a bit awkard.
If it allows serial hybrid, the ICE becomes disconnected from the front wheels, charge the battery and drive the rear wheels. Chargin would be like 400 hp max, discharge still 1100 hp to the rear wheels.
With the ICE connected to the front wheels, lacking a gearbox, you'd need to get going through the torque converter into a final gear that goes beyond 400 kph...

Amazing wrap up gents!! I drove through Death Valley and Area 51 on a road trip from Seattle to La years ago. Such a great trip and stunning scenery to me, fell in love with the American south west driving there!! Nice homage to a great video!!
