As a loner who has absolutly no contact with his family AT ALL residing in a state totally different from them on his own, I claim this as my anthem. Thank you Thundercat for making this song for people like me

Thundercat gets mad respect for what this track is referencing - one of the most O.G. Samurai stories of all time. We Americans would know it as "Shogun Assassin", perhaps through the sound bytes GZA samples throughout Liquid Swords, or maybe through the reference that appears in Kill Bill Vol. 2. Anyhow - this song captures the vibe of the story pretty perfectly. Would recommend watching either Shogun Assassin, the dubbed US version, or reading the original manga that came out in the 70's

One year ago (01.26.2020), a lone wolf and his cub left this world and ventured into the great beyond. R.I.P Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant.

I think I've played this song two or three times in a row and I still haven't gotten tired of it. It's got a one of those kick/snare combos that makes it hard to stop listening... I'm gonna be stuck on this one for a while.

Legendary. The ending mentally puts me in a throwback black Camaro, driving on a highway in AZ or NV with a Spanish guitar in the back. I played this song religiously when it came out.

The snare on this alone is compelling. How Thundercat plays with such feeling, and those gorgeous long notes, before he just tears into the song whilst keeping it in the pocket as Herbie Hancock just shines over it all. I love this song.

This song sounds like the journey of a single father sheltering and protecting their kid in a world full of pain and horror

I covered this on an IG story, a friend of mine loved it so much and then he passed the same weekend. Now this is his song in a way. Rest in Peace Brother
