Yes, I already know how to take care of myself. Yes, "Hey it's me. I'm just going to turn your head around and leave you high and dry." I must take it as the Divine's way of waking me up to the fact that, at my age, it's not necessarily OVER in the romantic love department. I had nearly decided that this time in my life was to just sort of wait around until it's time for me to die. Just continue taking care of and helping adult children in whatever way I can. This situation, if nothing else, put the brakes on that way of thinking! And, thankfully, because I was also putting up with "breadcrumbing" from one of my own kids.
