At least 60 people have been arrested in Russia’s Dagestan region after an angry crowd stormed an airport to protest the arrival of passengers from Israel.

They didn't even have any Israeli citizens on board. The mob only damaged the property of their own country and scared their own countrymen, some of them had been to Israel due to medical treatment and then came back. And even if there were, what good would harming them do to Palestinians? Utter stupidity.

I am from North Caucasus, although not from Dagestan but I was observing situation there through internet sources. There were attempts to organise peaceful demonstrations in Dagestan, it was disturbed by police, activists were detained. After it there was shared information that plane from Israel is coming to Makhachkala, people decided to go and show protest, and show that they dont want Israelis in Dagestan. No person from plane was hurted, there were clashes with policemen.

As a muslim, I know the pain and suffering of my Palestinian brothers and sisters . We know how is painful and difficult to overcome with the occupied land but hey, our action should first of all remain according with our religion, this is what makes us different with the rest.

Why would any Israeli want to fly to a place like Dagestan, unless they are perhaps Israeli Arabs. Which raises an interesting (for me at least) question. Would Dagestani attack any Israeli citizen, regardless of their ethnicity and faith, just based on their passport?
