Eskom says it's addressing systemic issues within the utility to completely rid the country of power cuts. This as the power utility celebrates over 150-days without blackouts. Board Chair, Mteto Nyati says issues include operational and financial woes. He was speaking in Midrand earlier, where the power utility gave an update on the state of the grid. #enca #dstv403

Townships must pay for electricity. That’s all I came to say.

It's painful to be black. Our townships are subjected to load reduction, every single day-we go to bed in darkness and we wake up in darkness and this nonsense only applies to a black child. This is so discriminatory. Eskom is ignoring us, the government also is rejecting the community of C Section in Khayelitsha. Is this the democracy that we voted for, they say loadshedding is something of the past while we suffer.

We would like to congratulate the entire team and management at Eskom. You have done an amazing job in keeping the lights on. Your work is much appreciated.

Let us give credit where credit is due.

Well done to all those tax payers who are going solar and feeding into the grid to help avoid the grid collapse and offsetting the grid demands...
