Without the dual clutch DSG transmisson, this car is just a nice rental car. It is about as sporty as a Toyota Camry or Honda Accord which means it is not sporty in the least. So it is a massive disappointment and big flop -without a real R line option. A 2012 VW CC with a DSG Transmission will hit 60 in 5.8 seconds but this car which is heavier and grossly underpowered won't hit 60 in under 7 seconds. If VW thinks that such mediocre performance is progress, then VW must think that Americans are stupid yokels who will a pay premium price for substandard engine and transmission performance
