At 70 George is wrapping up his touring career at the top of his game. A good final send off. Too bad more people aren't there.

Man, I would love to see George play Seven Thunders now too lol... Paris Is Burning was so good.

I lived in Griffith all my life up until 2018 and had actually turned all my guitar playing friends to Dokken back in the day. I'll be damned that 40 years later I moved to Portage and missed seeing George!! In Griffith of all places??!! </facepalm/>

Saw Lynch Mob at Hammersmith Odeon 1990. What a band that was. Outstanding.

You know as a Dokken fan there are many avenues of discussion that one can get lost, drama, blown out vocal chords so on and so on.

But one thing must be made crystal clear!

When Lynch is on his game none of his contemporary's come even close. He is the true successor to the 80s guitar throne left empty upon the passing of EVH.

On top of it, there's the "turds of misery" t-shirt

I gotta agree with all here who have said that George doesn't need to play 'all' the rythym parts exactly as he did on 1983's 'Breaking The Chains' album. Yeah, through the rigs he uses live, and the tone he achieves, huge, face-smashung, gut- belting Triad chords and the 'Dyad'-riffs he's known for 'interweaving' through about ALL of DOKKEN's catalog are 'The Experience' most folks want more of when going to a show he's playing, but since he gets a killer tone most all the time, if he 'derails' and starts improvising quite a bit, you're STILL seeing a Living Legend 'still' perform & play guitar as good as he ever did! And ya gotta take into account the fact that most players get 'tired' of playing it "Exactly Like The Recorded-Version", so, in order to get fresh ideas, they improvise. That's what 'I' do, and beleive me, IT WORKS. Now, 'every' idea that you come up with may not be 'really good', let alone a 'great' idea. But how I've seen it happen, and experienced it is that, once ya get some of the 'junk/ debris' out of your mind, then the 'little or BIG golden nuggets and gems start "Showing up in the pan." Try it, you'll see why the Pros & Legends 'do it.'

Another Lynch solo I love is From The Beginning

One of Dokken's best songs. Deserves to have the vocals up more in the mix. Singer's not bad.

From 20.000 people in the 80s to 20 people in 2025. Sad, but he still plays excellent.

I love the version on CD I forgot the name of the that CD it was like revision or something with Robert Mason on the pipes it's just so good but there will never be anything like the original it was like "live and dangerous. So much we have a little bit alive mixed with studio I'm aware live in dangerous the ratio was just the opposite but still just so great

I strangely feel sad, watching this video.
That's not really bad but... this live version from the 80's was stellar.

A great studio musician. phenomenal shredder, and always at the top of his game when surrounded by other great musicians. As far as improvising goes, I just feel he often leaves the context of the song and sometimes makes me wonder where he's going or how is he going to get back.
