Wrath Of Cyclone Remal | Cyclone Remal Kills Six In Bengal, Leaves Trail Of Destruction | N18V

Strong winds and heavy rain pounded the coastal regions of Bangladesh and India as severe cyclone Remal made landfall. Six people were killed in West Bengal while ten people lost their lives in adjoining Bangladesh. Millions of people were also left without electricity after power poles fell and some trees were uprooted by gusty winds. As per India Meteorological Department, the severe cyclone is slowly going towards North, North-East and getting weak. The adverse weather will continue to normalise in West Bengal. The wind speed is 70-80 kmph, which will reduce to 50-70 kmph. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected only today in eastern districts of West Bengal.
