Why IBANEZ GUITARS have „stupid“ names! 😱

I just solved the mystery around those weird cryptic Ibanez guitar names!

When I got my Rg7620 as a teenager i was so confused on the names looked it up and was like o that makes sense. If only i could remember this information.

I knew most, but not all of these codes. Very logical for me, this is a one of the most typical ways of defining hostnames at those big datacenters that used to be the core of my professional life.

It's so true, I never had a ibanez because I can't remember then name of the model I'm interested in when you get to the shop. Needs to be a natural progression like higher the number the better the model or something like that.

You have mistaken, the colour is always at the the end BKF = Black Flat. I don't know what the middle B means.

I hereby strongly disagree! BKF stands for the Colour (BlacK as FÜck, I guess).
Ibanez always had a logical naming system. Since most Musicians tend to be rather emotionally driven, that never resonated well. (:
