Unemployed youth urged to consider entrepreneurship

There's no end in sight to growing youth unemployment, and it seems there's not much being done to upskill them. Joblessness increased to 33.5% in the second quarter of the year. Discouraged job seekers also increased to 42.6. Setlogane Manchidi of Investec has warned against nurturing a generation that is only ready for the workplace. He believes self-employment in the form of entrepreneurship can help more people become economically active. #enca #dstv403

Young men are out here being criminals and young ladies are selling their bodies and the old men are buying. So maybe the idea is to help them grow their current businesses 🤷

Two different things ... Job creation (of your own business based on a skill or gap you see). Entrepreneurship is for those w8th rhat bent who will create something brand new. Its a skill on its own.
JOB CREATUON is what all unemployed try t do everyday...fruit sellers, barbers, beauty patlours, gardening etc. What this man us advising is how SAfricans survive currently. Its like he is saying something new ? Which rock has he been under?

my view is that those who are in the C-suite, head of department, and general manager must be given support to start their own business then we can make a dent on unemployment. the route of unemployed people starting their own business has not worked for long but there is a place for it in our economy. but for now, if we can use this model we can move forward
