As a Packers Fan i hope they frontload the Deal as much as possible. Because by the time the receivers are up for contract u gonna need all the money you can get.

*I acknowledge that I was wrong regarding his playoff win against Dallas. In hindsight, I also neglected to figure in that he was drafted high for the sole purpose of replacing Rodgers and taking over for the next decade or more. Also, as one comment pointed out to me, the market value at his position is and has been, dramatically high (or low? Running on no sleep, 72 hours) It just reminds me of what happened to Carr and the Raiders all those years ago, with him having an MVP year only to get hurt late that season. Only difference being Love played and won his WC game. Green Bay and Pittsburgh are the two NFL franchises that I should have never doubted or question. I'm not too proud to admit when I'm wrong, and I was wrong about this one.

He turned it around because they inserted Tucker Kraft at TE and turned to Reed and Wicks and Melton at WR… all 4 were highly efficient

This puts it in the light of he only cares about money. He turned it up because he wanted to win. Thats the difference. He gained confidence and limited mistakes. The core grew and gained momentum. He led the team as it should be

Packers have the second most wins the last 30 years behind Patriots.
That means a lot to us fans.
We wake up more Mondays than everyone outside of New England happy.
I don't even mind the lack of Super Bowls.
I just like winning week to week

They are doing a Jerry Jones all in 4-year contract with a $70M cap hit year 5, they pay $40M of that if he is on the team or not which is where Dallis will be next year. Their cap hit will be $40M more on the next contract than any other team making offers.

Mike, if Jordan has a career ending injury game one this season, did the packers take out an insurance policy to protect themselves? Does the cost of that insurance policy go against the Packers cap?

Packer's fans when Aaron Rogers wins them a Super Bowl and takes them to the post season almost every single year of his career.
"He's greedy and not a team player, take less money Aaron. Selfish"

Packer's fans when Jordan takes the whole cap and breaks NFL salary record.
"Good for him, he's going to be the best GreenBay QB since Bart Starr."

220 million for 9 wins?...then Mahomes deserves 1 billion

He was fine the whole time. The line played like trash the first half of the year. AJ was getting cracked in the backfield more than his whole life. Almost every game came down to the last few drives putting all the pressure on a first time starter with a trade o line. The line really gelled as the season went on

As a business, the Packers are a well oiled machine. Being competitive and relevant is better than a dynasty between decades of oblivion.

well, they didn't draft Brett. Does 3 for 3 really count?

Dumbest contract in history. Jesus. And fans had the balls to complain about Rodgers taking up too much cap space 😂

Omg this is so tiresome…. The beginning of the year, his first year as a starter, he was throwing to rookie WRs and TEs and his RB1 got hurt in game 1. Once they all settled in and LaFleur opened up the playbook we saw what they could be. Rodgers went 6-10 his first year and promptly got a big extension… adjust the numbers for inflation and it is what it is. The Packers created this timeline by drafting him and making him sit. The only way Love would’ve got on the field sooner was to outplay Rodgers in the middle of back to back MVP seasons. I don’t like that any of these guys are getting all that money but the market is what it is. It’s not like they really had a choice either. Pay him now or do what Dallas did to Dak and look how bad that situation is.

Not bad for a guy who had one good season and hasn't accomplished jack shit.

A 4, 000 yard, 3-to-1 TD/INT ratio, 9 win season nets you a record contract? Hasn't yet taken a snap in a playoff game, but getting paid like league MVP. No wonder why the Packers haven't been competitive for several years now.

As a Packer's fan, don't give me the cope. This is a major gamble and flat out stupid. Love's agents bent the team over a barrel on this one. You better hope you get lucky and this works out. It's not even a long term deal to make it team friendly and mitigate inflation.
