The best modern performance I've heard, overall (there was one with Tim Eddy playing cello exquisitely but the violinist was not as good). This is more scrupulous technically about the many difficult tricks Ravel requires here. Sadly they're not up to the profound sorrow of the slow movement, but what a masterpiece this is. Thanks so much for posting--you are extremely generous and have introduced me to so many wonderful performers from the past. Frances Yeend was my latest find. 😁😁
