999 'tapper' meets the call handler who saved his life

When Steven McLaren suffered a medical episode, he rang the emergency services for help, but couldn't speak a word.

His life was saved, in part, by call handler Kathryn Longstaff, who recognised he was banging on a bedroom table to communicate.

The call handler, who works for Cleveland Police, has since been hailed a hero for her efforts, putting training into practice.
