As an Aussie, the way Americans say it is correct. Aussies just don't hit their r's as harsh

As an Australian: Americans say it right, you just wouldn’t pronounce the r in that context in an Australian accent

It's so stupid that Jenna went viral for saying Rihanna's name right, just shows the pedestal we put celebs on

So you mean….people with different accents…say words…..💫differently?!💫

Yeah, it's not that they say it wrong. They say it with their own accent, that's all.

No Mar go is correct as an Aussie. We just don't hit the r hard

I think is dumb for people to expect other people with different accents to pronounce names exactly as in the person's own accent. Specially when you go international. It's like if I go around correcting people "it's not SAN-GREEH-AWW, it's Sangrrría."

I've work with people from all parts of the world, but the americans are always concerned if they are pronouncing my name correctly. I tell them yes, but the truth is that they aren't. I just don't care! My name is very Spanish-y and it would be delusional of me to expect that people who don't speak my language, pronounce my name with all the correct phonetic sounds of said language.

I'm Australian and everyone I've met says Margo

Wait….so we’re supposed to pronounce her name in an Australian accent? That’s insane. If an Australian said my name, and I told them they HAD to pronounce the R they would laugh me out of the room.

I couldn't hear anything you said, but I thoroughly enjoyed this clip.

I’m Australian never heard of the name ‘Mago’
Not saying this isn’t true, just saying it’s probably not very common

"Mago" honestly just reminds me of like a "Maggot"

I'm dyslexic and say alot of words and names wrong. I love it when I am shown grace and not corrected everytime I say incorrectly. I feel loved!

At this point Margot Robbie can do whatever she wants with her name and I’m happy for her

I’m Australia we def didn’t drop the R. We say it with the R but some Aussie’s may do it as they are bogan but most say it correctly.

Don’t forget some people pronounce Willem dafoe’s name William and even the actor himself said he sometimes mispronounces his name

It’s not a different name it’s just said in a different accent. Margot is still her name. Pronunciations don’t change the word. Also if that’s actually how you say Rihanna then why did Eminem say it the other way on the music video they made together lol. Because it doesn’t matter 😂
