Loved the review! It's great to see someone making a retro inspired dive watch that isn't either ridiculously large or isn't a blatant submariner homage. It's obviously got some style cues from the fifty-fathoms but it's unique enough to be its own thing.

That coat of arms: GORGEOUS! And the way the orange shappire catches the light, it could almost reflect the sun like it's gold! The 9039 movement is quiet and smooth. BUT! Being a diver myself...I would be looking at that orange hand thinking it is the minute hand! Most dive watches with the single orange hand is the minute hand... That would turn my OCD up to 11! It's a very lovely watch. Kudos to the creator!

I'd would love it if you could do a video of the strangest diver watch you have come across. With the proliferation of microbrand divers, all fairly similar sporting similar Miyota movements, I wonder where things will go . This juggling of diver watch vocabulary within an orthodoxy brings to mind the stagnation of art movements (post-expressionist Color Field abstracts for instance)when the syntax becomes everything . I was interested in the caseback of this Hemel and thought "aha...that's where they put their risk-taking where nobody can see it." Just as the dentist's office abstraction of color field gave way to an explosion of neo-expressionism, I am expecting the dive watch vernacular to explode into something strange and interesting.

Those Hemel watches look like Zodiac Diver homages. You can get new Zodiac Super Sea Wolf Diver watch with a Swiss Movement for about 580 USD. Why buying a copy if the original is about the same price? And getting even more value!

The Dive bezel design has sold me on the watch. 1 the sapphire glass on the bezel. 👍 2 the bezel glows in the dark. 👍👍. I Think that the sapphire bezel is an amazingly competitive value when considering ceramic bezel offered from U know who at insane pricing. This is the first time I’ve heard of Hemel. It looks like a great value for the money.The materials used to make it look like they are of great quality. The design is very nice, I especially like the blue one. The case back is my favorite part. I see one with your coat of arms on it in your future. Another great video, awesome intro TGV!

Even though blue is my favourite color, I agree that, I have never seen a blue quite like that! Although, being colourblind I never trust myself...
