Massive deep sea fishing boats | Fish factories on the high seas

These boats are the world's largest fishing trawlers. Some other have onboard fish processing capabilities which gives them the name fish factories.
They're mainly used to catch herring, mackerel tuna and squid. and they operate in all the major oceans around the world. In this video we feature the Kaldbakur, the Atlantic, the Monte Lorido, the Falcon, the Nordtind, the Vladimir Limanov and the Vladivostok 2000 and more.

It might be one of the smaller boats on our list, but this vessel can carry over 1000 tons of fish. It's name is the Isla de Terranova. This stern freezer fishing trawler was built in Spain, begun its first sea trials in 2019, and it sails under the Spanish flag. It operates in the Northwest Atlantic fishing grounds, and is equipped with an inverted bow design, to withstand harsh weather conditions. The Terranova's design gives it greater fuel efficiency as well, and it's packed with the latest fishing technology. With a length of 49 meters, a beam of 11 meters, and a draft of 6.5 meters, it can accommodate a crew of 28. The vessel has a gross tonnage of 1,100 tons, 940 square meters of cargo space, and is powered by a 1,890-horsepower engine.Top speed is 12 knots.
