Would you have an S Cross over some of the more expensive competition?

I bought this car a month ago. Very comfortable family car with enough space, smooth driving, very economical. I'm living in the mountains and I have no problem driving with snow.

Saw one of these the other day, thought they were rare. Glad to know I wasn't mad thinking I hadn't seen many. Great video!

I've had one for 3 years. It's wonderful!

I believe the full hybrid version of the S-Cross you have there has a 1.5 litre, normally aspirated engine, and the 1.4L Boosterjet engine is used in the mild hybrid car which has better performance but a little less economy.

Great review - I got one last year and love mine. Select sport mode if you want faster acceleration as it drops down to a lower gear 😊

I have a 2022 Motion S-Cross 1400 boostjet and im delighted with it. Where i live there are becoming popular due to the low cost and good hp/pcp deals. Plus, Suzuki dealers are pretty good to deal with. I like the fact that they welcome you well after the purchase. Try getting that from a premium product franchise?
Fuel consumption is great, only the other day, while on the dual carriageway, it was achieving 62mpg. Light comfortable and plenty of space. Ok, the interior could do with less scratchy plastics, but the trade-off is more tech and a solid build quality.

I wish Suzuki UK would bring to our shores the Fronx .. S-Cross front end [ish] .. and you tell me where they got the back-end design? .. to me, it looks Evoque?

We have just taken delivery of the 2024 (74) plate Susuki. The 1.4 Booster jet mild hybrid.

A week in to driving it and so far so good.

I did the first long drive yesterday (18.9.24) from my home in Devon to Thorpe Park in Surrey and Im impressed with the comfort of driving for the time I did and having no numb or aching bum or back. I didn't fidget once in the seat which is very rare for me, driving any vehicle. And I clocked .3 short 50mpg for the journey. I've read the S-Cross is capable of around 52-53mpg on long runs.

The cruise control system is superb. I love the detection system of cars ahead and it slows the car down when you approach cars in front and then speeds back up to the set cruise speed when the gap between me and the car in front increases.

Driving position is good. The head room for me is good. I'm 6ft 3inch tall and there is plenty of room.

I'm liking the straight forward simplicity of using good old fashioned dials/knobs to set the climate. I say this as we've let go of a 71 plate Seat Leon FR mild hybrid which required me to go to the infotainment screen to set where I wanted the Aircon/heat to blow and the setting of temp was touch fiddly. It was dangerously distracting when driving.

I use to drive the brilliant Mazda 6 (2012) estate which had blind spot indication to notify me of traffic coming up the side of me. This S-Cross has the same warning system.

The negatives I have so far are as follows:

Road and wind noise when driving on the motorway is quite loud. The sound insulation could be better. The infotainment screen and the temp info screen below that are awful to read in sunlight, in fact it is impossible.

I've not worked the radio system out either. When I'm not in the actual alphabetical list of DAB stations it seems when I press to pick the next or previous station, none of it is in alphabetic order. So for example, I could be listening to heart FM and then press for the next station and it'll give me LBC or some other out of ordered station. Yes, we have our favourites set but that list is seperate to what I'm mentioning. But, to be honest this is not of vital importance.

One other thing is the dashboard area, it sounds like the area where infotainment screen and air vents are, there is a rattle. I don't expect this in a brand new vehicle. This is more of an annoyance rather than a major fault.

Comparing our new S-Cross to the Seat Leon it has replaced, I would pick this Suzuki.

The S-Cross is surprisingly quick too, reaching 62mph from 0 in a reported 9.5 seconds but I've yet to test that personally. The Seat acceleration report had it at 8.3 secs for 0-62mph but the automatic gearbox was awful when giving it some Welly!

Well, one week in with the brand new S-Cross and I'm rather impressed.

Easy to drive, easy on board controls that don't require the infotainment to go into. Good handling, comfortable on long journeys and seats four adults well.

I bought the 2024 Suzuki S Cross. Excellent in every point. I can complain only about one thing: why the manufacturers didn't place a light in the trunk. I have to use my cell phone all the time when I look for stuff at night. Not very practical when you have put or take things out. other than that, no issues whatsoever.

Why do you quote the monthly PCP as some sort of measure of value? It's a meaningless figure dictated by deposit and final payment.

Strange auto gearbox. It has a mind of its own. Noisy at 60mph

The back end of the car looks like the 2013-15 Mitsubishi outlander 😅
