I want to give some constructive input:
I just returned the Note 7 from by period where I could try it and it took a very long time for me to actually buy it because I wanted to buy the Note 7 Pro which you didn't sold here in Sweden. As I got the Note 7 though I felt it was pretty nice. It's definitely an ok phone. The three issues I had with it is: 1) It's too large and too top heavy for on the move, it's hard to hold (maybe because of the shape and glass) and if you hold it for a phone call while riding a bicycle for instance it feel like it will easily tip over. It's pretty narrow and very tall so when holding it upright and typing it still feel small while at the same time like it will flip over. 2) The screen is a bit blueish and the colors are so much worse than on the Samsung Galaxy S5. 3) The camera while taking "good" photos isn't "amazing" and colors and contrast feel a bit off there too.

Before when I was considering other options I did look at the Mi 9 which seemed perfect except having the droplet (especially at a bit lower price since it had been out for a while, maybe even the Mi 8), the Mi 9T which I felt was expensive and the Mi 9SE which had the better size but you had kept the telephoto but removed the wide-angle lens if I remember correctly and that's totally stupid because I can crop a photo but I can't say move around the phone to grab a wider one (though such a function could be developed.)
I think also looked into things like Samsung A40 and is it A60 or A70 which have the 6.7" display? A40 is smaller and have plastic black so seem more reliable and have AMOLED-display so much nicer but it's a bit slower and with worse camera. So if one care about the camera and don't have another I don't feel one should feel safe with that one. The A70 would be as an alternative to iPad Mini or other tablet as I could be reading comic books on it on the side almost as well and wouldn't need two devices. Still large though.

Since then you've launched the A3 which seem nice except for 720p Pentile and now this. The camera setup here is very nice and now the Pro model is what you sell in Sweden so very nice there too. It's just that the tall shape continues and the colors are supposedly still off though it claim HDR support now. Seem like a very nice upgrade over Note 7 for about the same price (Pro cost 30% more or so but I'm ok buying that model anyway I feel.)

However I feel that for me I would likely prefer something more squarish / less long and a smaller screen size for a day to day phone making it easier to hold as I either say sit on the toilet holding it checking webpages and typing things or go outside and walk possibly with the cat or sometimes make phone calls while bicycling and such and I want something which feel safer to hold that this awkward long shape. So say 5-6" instead. I wouldn't be against even a 4:3 device either. And I wish the phones had AMOLED or very high quality and well calibrated IPS (like the IPS HDR on the Apple iPads), that or something 6.7-6.8" still with good display but preferably with plastic back and more sturdy if that could be arranged somehow so I could use it as a "small tablet" but also on a phone but I guess in such a case as a phone in a pocket with a wireless headset or such instead so I don't have to hold it on those occasions and rather just use it as a media and web device at other times in more controlled environments.
Samsung already have those devices but they are 1) Slower than the Xiaomi devices (and possibly with a bit worse updates and at a somewhat higher price) and 2) The cameras suck.

That's another issue I had with the Xiaomi Note 7 latest upgrades:
When changing sound level while playing videos in the web-browser for whatever reason it changed the ring volume not the media volume even though media was playing back. It worked at the beginning but later become like that I have no idea why but very annoying, also with head-phones there was only like 4 volume steps or something so hard to get the right loudness too.

For whatever it's worth and how useful it is. But yeah, don't focus too much on telephoto cameras. This phone have 64 mpx camera and you can crop quite a bit on that and still have decent details left, and it have the ultra wide lens and the macro lens so pretty good setup. I guess none of each camera is "best performance there is" but it's four cameras at a good price with lots of functionality and nice value.
