Mercedes-Benz W205 Tail Light Replacement DIY (C300, C400, C450 AMG, C63 AMG S)

►For whatever reason, if you need to replace your Mercedes W205 tail lights, know that it is an easy process that you can do at home. In today's DIY, Kyle Bascombe, FCP Euro's Mercedes-Benz Catalog Manager, replaces the tail light assembly on our Mercedes C300. In the case of our car, a small crack in the plastic is allowing water intrusion and water buildup. Left alone, this taillight would result in the failure of the circuit board.

I have S205 and it has same condensation issue, but before anything breaks, it can be fixed. There is four screws that do not have any insulation. So i opened each screw and put small pea of automotive silicone into hole and in the the scew, and after each screw i let it dry off. Now i haven't seen condensation on the lamps any more. Usually condensation came after pressure washing the car. So that is pretty easy to replicate to see the difference. Drying isn't a problem, because, there is a hole for connector and that lets the tail light vent into car.

Hey! Great video. Just to ask, I will be changing my American tail lights (red blinkers) to EU standard ones, with original tail lights, will it need any software learning to make it light or will it automatically set up itself?
