During this special edition series of LUMIX Live at CES 2023, Sean and Matt will be diving into the various capabilities of the brand new LUMIX S5II! In this stream (1 of 4) we will be talking about the new Phase Hybrid AF system deployed in the S5II while providing tips on how it differs from our previous system!

I think back to the s1/h/r and s5 and how firmware and community testing and sharing lead to an AF that was far more functional than it first appeared out of the box. I wonder what we will see squeezed out of this new AF system in that regard as regular users experiment with it and use it in the real world and also as that feedback makes it back to the software team pushing out firmware.

I'm admittedly curious as to what the S1H mk 2 will offer to justify its higher price. Cuz the S52X looks excellent!

At 16:56 Matt mentioned that he tested the combination of the Sigma 150-600 and the S5II with working DUAL IS. Is this a new feature of the S5II? I don't remember that DUAL IS was already possible with existing cameras of the S-series and the Sigma 150-600 or in fact any other non-LUMIX lens.
If that is really true, was that lens in principle already capable of DUAL IS but LUMIX cameras until now would just not support it or is this a new feature of the lens (coming with new lens firmware) - or maybe both?
