Thanks for sharing, Mitz. I picked up a 2.5" Nighthawk when I first got my Onefinity Journeyman in April, 2022. It works great. I set up my dust collection bucket and shop-vac at the back of the Journeyman table, which meant there were several times where the 5 gallon bucket and the 16 gallon shop-vac filled up with sawdust and made a mess. A couple months later, I ordered a 4" dust collection system and the 4" Nighthawk, along with a 55 gallon drum for sawdust. The first dust collector had a problem and was exchanged for a new one, but I haven't [re]put the new one together, yet. Anyway, I should get the 4" collector up and running in the next month or so. In the meantime, the 2.5" is still doing a great job.

Thanks for the information Mitz. I purchased the 2.5" Nighthawk on your recommendation. I have not been disappointed. I also got the shorter and longer brushes. This helps when my bit sticks out more or less and I can change the brush to adapt. I would highly recommend the Nighthawk. The one issue I have not been able to solve to my satisfaction is when the dust boot moves with the z-slider, the hose will pop off occasionally. I am using Rowdy Roman's dust collection arm and have rigged the hose with straps and this doesn't happen as often. It would be great if someone could come up with a better solution.
I also would highly recommend SolaFideDesigns, I received great customer service.

Hi Mintz. What happened to you nice enclosure? Would you build one different if you did it again? What about designing in smoke extraction for your laser?
