I have a similar experience, my buddy was in the hospital for like 2 or 3 years and missed a ton of movies, when he came out I gave him a Seve Rogers style watchlist of all the cool crap he missed out seeing.

A bit shorter time scale, but I was in the CAF with a buddy who stayed in for MUCH longer. He went from the Boko Haram in 2008 to Libya 2011, straight into Afgan 2013, than Iraq to 2015 before her was injured and left, finally back home and caught up with him in 2016.

He missed Skyrim.. Dues Ex.. GTA 5, Metal Gear Revengance, Fallout 3, 4 and Vegas..

Like this dude was playing banger after banger, every day for a year straight. It was amazing to see him just fall in love with gaming.

Still cant watch lord of the rings, i constantly fall asleep during any of the movies. Maybe im the only one who thinks so but the movies just feel overrated and overhyped.
